Traffic accidents are a serious and priority social problem which, directly or indirectly, affects us all and has a huge economic impact on the population. Drivers have the keys to avoid the vast majority of accidents in their hands, since statistics show that the human factor is behind most traffic accidents.

An increase in braking distance: Correct
When the road is wet, the surface friction is reduced, which means your motorcycle’s tires cannot grip the road as well as they would on a dry surface. As a result, it takes longer for the motorcycle to stop because the braking efficiency is compromised. Therefore, the braking distance will increase in wet conditions.
Reduced reaction distance: The reaction distance is the distance your motorcycle travels while you are reacting to a situation. This distance depends on your reaction time, not the road conditions. Wet roads don’t directly affect your reaction time, so this option is incorrect.
Stopping distance does not increase: This is incorrect because stopping distance is a combination of reaction distance and braking distance. On wet roads, the braking distance increases due to reduced friction, meaning the overall stopping distance increases as well.

If the car traveling behind us is not keeping the safety distance, you should increase the distance with the vehicle at the front of us whenever possible, signalling all the manoeuvres always braking softly and with anticipation.

The refusal to submit to an alcohol or drug test when required to do so by the competent authority in a police control is punishable under criminal law.

That is why if the authorities require us to take a drug test we are obliged to submit to it under the same conditions as if it were a Breathalyzer test.

Traffic regulations state that it is completely prohibited to overtake in marked pedestrian crossings, in intersections with bicycle lanes, in level crossings and their vicinity. Riders of motorcycles or mopeds are required by law to wear a properly buckled helmet during their entire ride, even on short trips. In an impact scenario, an unbuckled helmet can fly off, leaving the head unprotected and increasing the risk of injury. Also, riding with your helmet unbuckled can be sanctioned by the authorities with a fine of 200 euros and the loss of 3 points from your driving license.

The rotating yellow light on special vehicles only signals their situation, but it does not give them special priority over other drivers on the road.

The hand brake, as a general rule, is only used to immobilize the vehicle once we have stopped. In very extreme cases, for example, a total failure of the foot brake if we can use it, if necessary, as an emergency brake.
